Supporting Hearing Dogs

We were delighted to present Hearing Dogs for Deaf People with a cheque for £2,215 in February.

The amount was raised over two events during 2017 – our Golf Day in September and Charity Quiz Night held last November. None of this would be possible without the generosity and involvement of our clients, business associates, friends and local supporters.

‘Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a charity close to our heart,’ says Vicki Skeels, MD of The Hearing Care Centre. ‘Modern hearing aids can go a long way towards treating hearing loss for most people, but where they can not, a hearing dog provides vital support.

‘These amazing dogs are trained to a very high level and can alert their deaf recipients to a range of important sounds and alarms. They also provide companionship and rebuilding of confidence for those who are often isolated by profound deafness.’

Our next fundraising event will be a fun Quiz Night on 1 June – watch this space for more details!
